1. British Columbia:
British Columbia is Canada’s western most province. The province is bordered by the west by the pacific ocean and the American state of Alaska. It is bordered to the North by the Canadian Northern territory and Yukon. To the east it shares a border with the Canadian province of Alberta. To the south it shares border with the American states of Washington, Idaho and Montana.
The capital city is Victoria, but the most populous city is Vancouver. British Columbia has an average population of 5million (2018 census).

2. Alberta:
Alberta is one of the western provinces of Canada. It shares border with British Columbia to the west, Saskatchewan to the east, Northwestern territories to the north and the American state of Montana to the south. Alberta is one of the 3 Canadian prairie (grassland) provinces, the estimated population is 4million (2018 census). The capital city is Edmonton while the largest city is Calgary.

3. Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan is one of the 3 prairie provinces. Its majorly prairie to the south and boreal to the north, so the population of the province is dense in the south leaving the north sparsely populated.
Saskatchewan has very severe winters in the north and very warm summers in the south.
The 2016 estimated population of Saskatchewan is 1.1million. Its largest city is Saskatoon and its capital city is Regina.

4. Manitoba

This Canadian province has one of the strongest,  stable and most diverse economy in the country. Manitoba is one of the 3 prairie provinces of Canada (the other 2 being Alberta and Saskatchewan). This province is bordered to the east by Ontario and to the West by Saskatchewan.It is one of the cheapest or most affordable places to live in Canada. Income tax in Manitoba is a modest 10% of the 1st $31,000cad and 17.4% on incomes exceeding $67,000cad. Childcare costs in this province is also one of the cheapest in the country.Polulation of manitoba is approx. 1.3m. The capital and largest city is Winnipeg.


5. Ontario

This province is east central province of Canada. It is the second largest province after quebec. Ontario covers an area approx. 1 million square kilometers (an area bigger than france and spain combined). It is vibrantly multicultural, has diverse industry ranging from agriculture, automobile manufacturing, mining, manufacturing, forestry etc.Ontario has at least 250,000 lakes. Niagara falls in found in ontario…remember the scene from the 1990 superman movie where clark rescues a boy who fell into this very beautiful looking water fall…yes…that was Niagara falls….and its located in Ontario.Ontario is the seat of power of Canada. Population of ontario is approx. 14.5million people..this makes it the most populous province of Canada. 6. Quebec

This province is predominantly french speaking. Its known for its rich history, cobblestone streets and European architecture, it is a little piece of Europe in Canada. It is the biggest province in Canada by land area. The population is approx. 8Million. The capital city is Montreal.It has a diverse economy, one of its biggest assets is its water resources: there are more than 1million lakes and rivers in Quebec, including  st lawrence river, one of the longest rivers in the world. It flows approx. 1,200 kilometers through the province.Income tax in Quebec is 15% for income equal to or less than $43,950. Average childcare cost for children under 4 is $152
